Job Description

This is a full-time, 9-month, tenure track, bargaining unit position that reports to the Dean of Career, Technical, and Workforce Education and is located at the JWCC Workforce Development Center in Quincy, Illinois.  Position begins October 2024.

 

This position is responsible for fifteen credit hours per semester of teaching and other duties as assigned.  The primary teaching assignments will be courses included in our Advanced Manufacturing Technology AAS and Industrial Maintenance AAS degrees.  Must be available to teach during the day or evening depending on the program of study schedule.  Other teaching assignments may include courses in other industrial technology programs and non-credit business and industry training.  Courses may include topics such as:

  • Hydraulics and Pneumatics
  • Industrial Wiring, Motors and Controls, and Mechanical Systems
  • Electrical Troubleshooting and Electrical Safety
  • Advanced Manufacturing and Fabrication Topics
  • Introduction to Robotics and Robotics Programming

Additional responsibilities will include a systematic review of our advanced manufacturing programs with input from our local business partners, curriculum development, student recruitment, and a willingness to be involved in activities including professional development and committee membership.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Prefers an Associates or higher degree in advanced manufacturing or related field.  Requires a minimum of 4 years’ relative work experience in a related field.  Teaching experience, course development, and industrial related credentials desirable.

 

SALARY

Salary commensurate with education, certifications, and experience.
